Eps 28: Gallerist Abigail Ogilvy-Listening to Stories & Tips for Artists Approaching Gallerists

Abigail Ogilvy Gallery exhibits contemporary art with a heavy emphasis on concept driven artwork by emerging to mid career artists located across the country and internationally. The gallery primarily focuses on paintings, but also exhibits a range of other medias including photography, sculpture, mixed media, digital prints, drawings and much more. AOG aims to expand the Boston art scene by seeking out strong artists who have yet to be recognized or shown in the area. Since opening in 2015, the gallery has hosted over 30 exhibitions. Our exhibitions typically run between 4-6 weeks in our space while works by gallery artists are available in our nearby showroom. Owner Abigail Ryan and Director Allyson Boli are dedicated to developing each artists' career, while acting as an accessible platform for the appreciation and promotion of contemporary art in Boston.

The gallery is committed to exhibiting the strongest work from both local and international artists. We are interested in a wide range of artistic ideas and in showing all media.

In this episode we talk about her interest in people’s stories, how she moved from the tech world into the art world, and her tips for artists.
